STEEL: 19C27 - Swedish Wear Resistant Stainless Steel
FINISH: Tsuchime. This is a hand hammered finish that is not only beautiful but also functional. The small depressions stop food sticking to the knife. This finish comes in many different forms from the traditional round hammer marks to more modern patterns.
HANDLE: Western pakkawood handle

It's very rare that the Japanese would use a non Japanese steel, and that speaks highly of Swedish steel making. This is an excellent modern steel with good edge retention, fantastic sharpenability while maintaining a good degree of toughness.
