We were keen to find the best-in-class knife in the bread department and knew the contender had to be from Japan. This little number is sharp and will make quick work of sourdough and anything else you throw in front of it. We happen to think that it makes the pretty perfect housewarming gift or birthday present.
The blade is stainless steel and either 22cm, 30cm or 36cm long. It comes with a plastic blade guard to ensure that it remains sharp.
